Spring Valley Course Race Info
Who's ready for race day? We've been waiting all year for this! Get all the info you need to prepare for race day at the Spring Valley YMCA Course below.
RACE LOCATION

PACKET PICKUP
It is strongly recommended that runners/walkers pick up their packets prior to race day.
There will be a Spring Valley Course Race Expo with vendors, music, pictures and fun along with Packet Pick up on Tuesday, November 25th from 5pm – 8pm.
You can also pick up your packet Race Day at the race site from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM – but there will be a line, so be prepared to wait.
REGISTRATION
Registration is open through 8:15 AM on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Kids refer to those aged 6 through 12. Children under 6 are free, but must register.
We suggest registering through our website even on Race Day. This can be done on your mobile device or computer or at our registration station on one of our devices. This is the fastest way to register. Cash is not accepted on race day.
Shirts are not guaranteed on Race Day. Please consider registering before October 15th to secure your shirt and size.
PARKING INFO
Parking is available at the following locations: Pope John Paul High School and the Spring Valley YMCA. A shuttle will take participants from the Spring Valley YMCA to the race site. The shuttle will begin making trips at 7:30 AM. Participants using this option should park in the lot closest to Township Line Road.
Directions to the Starting Line
The race start line is located in Pope John Paull II parking lot at the access road to the baseball fields (behind football field).
COURSE INFO
Starting Line: Runners and walkers will begin from the starting line near the baseball field and tennis court.
5K Runners: This is a cross-country course. It is primarily on grass, but there may be rocks, divots, or wildlife.
Walkers: Walkers will walk through a 1 mile course around the Pope John Paul High School campus. Families, strollers, and all ages of participants are encouraged to join. This course is not timed.
Water Stations: There is one water station along the 5k route around the 1-2 mile mark.
Strollers are permitted on the walking course. Strollers are not permitted on the 5k run course. Pets are NOT permitted on either course.

CORRALS
During the registration process, you will be asked to select your anticipated time from the below options.
- Under 7 minutes per mile (anticipated finish under 21 minutes)
- 7-9 minute mile (anticipated finish between 21-27 minutes)
- 9-11 minute mile (anticipated finish between 27-33 minutes)
- Over 11 minute mile (anticipated finish more than 34 minutes)
RACE DAY SCHEDULE
7:00 AM - Registration Begins
8:15 AM - Registration Closes
8:15 AM – Opening Ceremony
8:30 AM – 5k run begins with staggered start
- 8:30 AM - Sub 7/7-9 min
- 8:32 AM - 9-11 min
- 8:34 AM - 11+ min
8:35 AM – Walk begins
Award ceremony to follow the close of the race.
AWARDS
Awards are given out following the end of the 5k.
Medals will be given to the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runners of the race for male, female, and non-binary categories. Medals will also be given to the 1st place runner in each age bracket in the male and female categories.
Age brackets: 6-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
